The Polres of Ciko Traffic Unit’s Simling Service is Only in One Location, But Its Operational Requirements are Flexible

Simling Service Polres of Ciko Traffic Unit.
progresifjaya.co.id, CIREBON – Adapting to Cirebon City’s area of only around 39,46 to 39,48 square kilometers, divided into 5 sub-districts and 22 urban villages, the Polres of Cirebon City (Ciko) Traffic Unit is also striving to be strategic in providing its services to the public.
With an area that is slightly different from the Cilincing District in North Jakarta, which is 39,7 square kilometers larger, the Polres of Ciko Traffic Unit can be strict in only placing one Mobile SIM (Simling) service car operating at one location, namely Grage Mall Cirebon, for a full week.
However, while the implementation is somewhat rigid, the operational requirements are quite flexible. Opening hours are always static, starting at 9:00 a.m. WIB. However, closing hours are flexible until the last applicant registered to renew their driver’s license (SIM) is due.
“We have been implementing this service routinely in Ciko. Because the area is small, even larger than the Cilincing District in North Jakarta, we have chosen only one location for the Simling service. However, that location is in the city center and easily accessible to all Ciko residents,” explained the Non-commissioned officer for driving license affairs (Baur SIM) of the Polres of Ciko Traffic Unit’s, Aiptu Beben Subagja, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
However, he continued, despite only having one location, the Polres of Ciko Traffic Unit strives to maintain flexibility in its operations. This aims to ensure applicants remain satisfied and hassle-free.
“There were no complaints or protests. That’s our main goal. And Alhamdulillah,, everything has been running smoothly as expected,” he said.
Basically, the main goal of Simling is to simplify access to SIM renewal services, bring service locations closer to residents, and reduce long queues at the main Satpas office.
The service is carried out through a proactive approach to busy areas or areas far from Satpas offices. Then there’s the bureaucratic efficiency effort, streamlining the service process to make it more concise, faster, and more accessible.
And as long as the applicant meets all the required requirements, the process can be expedited. It only takes about 3 to 5 minutes if all requirements are complete.
These requirements include bringing a valid e-KTP (electronic ID card) and SIM along with photocopies, a health certificate, a psychological certificate, and active membership in the National Health Insurance (JKN). That’s all.
