Suarapribumi.co.id published a story titled “Modus Operandi of Extortion at Polres of Subang Driver’s License Unit, Residents Deliberately Hindered to Force Use of ‘Back-Door’ Channels.” However, the article provided no logical explanation to substantiate the headline.

Responding to this biased and unbalanced narrative, the Head of the Polres of Subang Traffic Unit (Kasat Lantas), AKP M. Hardian Andrianto, firmly stated, that the information contained in the report is untrue. He also questioned the specific time of the alleged incident and the identity of the victim.

“I promise to take firm action against the perpetrator of the alleged extortion mentioned in the report. Please provide us with all the evidence if it exists. However, we also ask that our questions be answered: when did the alleged incident occur, and who was the victim?” explained AKP M. Hardian on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

He also expressed deep regret over the one-sided reporting style adopted by suarapribumi.co.id. The Polres of Subang Driver’s License Unit was accused of extortion without any attempt to verify the facts with the Polres of Subang Traffic Unit prior to publication. Instead, the inquiry mentioned in the article was directed straight to the Polda of West Java Traffic Director (Dirlantas Polda Jabar).

“We are the leadership of the Polres of Subang Traffic Unit. Therefore, verification efforts should have been directed at us before the story was published, not at the Polda of West Java Traffic Director,” he asserted. (Bembo)
