Press conference regarding the Polda Metro Jaya’s exposure of the counterfeit revenue stamp syndicate network.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya has dismantled a syndicate producing counterfeit revenue stamps. The operation was conducted in collaboration with the Directorate General of Taxes under the Ministry of Finance.

Polda Metro Jaya Deputy Chief, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, stated during a press conference at the Polda Metro Jaya headquarters, that 16 individuals with varying roles have been named suspects in the case. They are identified by the initials B, RC, M, TA, RTP, IA, F, H, RH, MIF, SNM, U, FF, NSA, P, and MO. The case came to light following information received from the public.

“This operation stemmed from public information as well as several police reports filed with the Polda Metro Jaya,” he said on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

The operation to uncover the syndicate’s network was carried out during June and July across several regions in Indonesia.

“The enforcement action taken by the Polda Metro Jayq alongside the Directorate General of Taxes was conducted throughout June and early July in various regions, including Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and North Sumatera,” said Brigjen Pol Dekananto.

Evidence seized during the operation—including equipment used to manufacture the counterfeit stamps and the stamps themselves—was presented at the press conference. Production tools such as sewing machines and foil stamping machines were also displayed. (Bembo)
