A fatal accident involving three cars and a motorcycle occurred on Jalan Kembang Kerep, Kembangan, West Jakarta.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA– A fatal multi-vehicle crash involving three cars and a motorcycle occurred on Jalan Kembang Kerep, Kembangan, West Jakarta, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at approximately 16:00 WIB.

The incident resulted in the deaths of a family—a husband, wife, and their toddler—after the motorcycle they were riding was struck by a vehicle.

An eyewitness at the scene, Asep, stated, that the accident began when traffic in the area was relatively light, allowing vehicles to speed along the road, which features a downhill slope.

The incident involved three cars—a Fortuner, an Avanza, and a white electric car—as well as one motorcycle.

“The electric car at the rear struck the vehicles in front of it in a chain-reaction collision, then veered to the right and crashed into a utility pole,” said Asep at the scene on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle carrying the three victims was positioned at the side of the road when the incident occurred. The motorcycle was then struck by a vehicle that had lost control.

“There were three people on the motorcycle—presumably a family consisting of a husband, wife, and their toddler. They were positioned at the side of the road when they were struck,” Asep explained.

The violent impact resulted in the deaths of all three people on the motorcycle. The toddler riding on the back was even dragged underneath the front of one of the vehicles.

“The small child was thrown from the motorcycle and ended up under the tires of the lead car. The male rider was in critical condition and passed away while being transported to the hospital,” said Asep.

Based on information circulating at the scene, the victims are believed to be residents of the Meruya area in West Jakarta. Meanwhile, the driver of the white electric car, who sustained injuries, has been evacuated from the scene.  Meanwhile, the drivers of the other two vehicles reportedly did not sustain serious injuries.
