The Polda Metro Jaya Food Task Force, together with PD Pasar Jaya and Bulog, inspected rice stocks and prices at three locations in the Ciracas area, East Jakarta.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya Food Task Force, in collaboration with PD Pasar Jaya and Bulog, inspected rice availability and prices at three locations in the Ciracas area, East Jakarta, on Monday, September 14, 2026. The activity aimed to ensure that rice availability and selling prices at the merchant level remained in accordance with the established Highest Retail Price (HET).

Inspections were conducted at Ciracas Traditional Market, Naga Supermarket Ciracas, and Transmart Mall Cijantung. The monitoring covered premium rice, medium-grade rice, and rice under the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program.

AKBP Dr. Muh. Ardila Amry, Head of Sub-directorate 1 (Industry and Trade) of the Polda Metro Jaya Special Criminal Investigation Directorate stated, that the inspection was carried out to ensure the rice prices paid by the public complied with regulations.

“We conducted this inspection to ensure that rice prices at both merchant and retail levels remain in line with the established HET, while also monitoring stock availability on the ground,” said AKBP Ardila.

For the Java Zone 1 region, the HET is set at Rp14.900 per kilogram for premium rice, Rp13.500 per kilogram for medium-grade rice, and Rp12.500 per kilogram for SPHP rice. Monitoring results at the three locations showed that the prices for premium, medium-grade, and SPHP rice remained within these regulated limits.

The Polda Metro Jaya Food Task Force will continue periodic monitoring and inspections at other traditional markets and modern retail outlets. This measure is taken to maintain price stability and ensure the public can obtain rice at regulated prices.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated, that monitoring food prices and availability is part of the police’s collaborative efforts with PD Pasar Jaya and Bulog to maintain food stability and protect the public. 

“We will continue to conduct field monitoring alongside PD Pasar Jaya and Bulog. If the public encounters any suspected violations regarding food prices or distribution, they can immediately report them to the police via the 110 service so that appropriate action can be taken in accordance with applicable regulations,” he asserted.
