Kapolres Cianjur, AKBP Beddy Suwendi, leading an operation against brong (noisy/illegal) exhausts in Cianjur.

progresifjaya.co.id, CIANJUR – The Polres Cianjur Police are actively conducting raids targeting illegal, loud exhausts (brong exhausts) at various high-risk locations across Cianjur Regency, West Java. This initiative also serves to address broader public nuisance issues.

Speaking during one of the operations, Kapolres Cianjur, AKBP Beddy Suwendi stated, that he personally led these enhanced routine operations (KRYD) from Saturday through the early hours of Sunday. During the operation, 52 motorcycles and one car were seized.

The raids also uncovered individuals in possession of illicit drugs and alcoholic beverages.

“This has become a priority for our officers during monitoring and enforcement activities, especially on weekends within the Polres Cianjur jurisdiction. These raids help reduce the number of traffic violations committed by motorists,” said Kapolres Beddy.

He emphasized, that the crackdown on illegal loud exhausts will continue, reflecting the police’s commitment to addressing public complaints regarding the noise caused by such exhausts, which remain in use by many motorcycle and car drivers.

He has also instructed all personnel to conduct checks on vehicle registration documents, mandatory vehicle equipment, and required components—all while maintaining a humanistic approach.

Those found in violation of traffic regulations may be issued a citation (ticket) in accordance with the law. Such enforcement is carried out professionally, humanely, and without discrimination.

“Vehicles found in violation are taken to the Polres Cianjur station. Owners are required to rectify any deficiencies—including replacing illegal loud exhausts with standard, factory-made ones—before the vehicles are returned,” explained Kapolres Beddy.

“We will continue to conduct these raids with the hope that traffic violations will decline and that public complaints regarding noisy exhausts and other social nuisances will cease,” he added. (Bembo)
