progresifjaya.co id, JAKARTA – The adventure of Suriono, a convict in a child abuse case, who had been trying to escape his troubles for three years ended on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Suriono was successfully arrested by the Asahan District Attorney’s Intelligence Team, led directly by the Head of Intelligence, Heriyanto Manurung, SH, along with the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office Intelligence Team and the Kuantan Singgigi District Attorney’s Office Intelligence Team at 5:20 a.m. at a house in Kebun Sawit, Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province.

Legally, the cunning convict Suriono has been proven legally and convincingly guilty of violating criminal law. However, he continues to defy the law by attempting to escape punishment.

According to Supreme Court Decision No. 2648/K/Pid.Sus/2022 dated August 29, 2022, Suriono was found guilty of violating Article 80 paragraph 1 of Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. He faces one year in prison and a fine of Rp1.000.000. If the fine is not paid, Suriono will be required to serve an additional two months in prison.

“The convict tried to escape reality by running away. To the point that the Asahan District Prosecutor’s Office had to place him on the wanted list with a warrant number: Print-2756/L.2.23/Eku.3/11/2023 dated November 24, 2023. Thank God, we have now been able to apprehend him,” said the Head of the Asahan District Prosecutor’s Office, Basril G SH, MH, last Friday, (10/18).

Regarding the brief circumstances of the case against Suriono, Basril continued, explaining that the incident occurred in Hamlet II, Air Teluk Village, Teluk Dalam District, Asahan Regency on August 19, 2020.

Convict Suriono had an argument with the parents of the victim’s child, identified as E.S., who was none other than his neighbor. This argument was then recorded by the victim’s child, E.S., and posted on Facebook.

Convict Suriono became embarrassed and increasingly emotional, losing his cool. The victim’s child, E.S., was then approached and an argument ensued. E.S.’s neck was then strangled by the convict and her face was punched, hitting her lower lip. The altercation was finally broken up by E.S.’s mother. Convict Suriono, still furious, finally left the scene while kicking E.S.’s motorcycle.

But this convict’s bravado proved to be only a brief scene. In subsequent scenes, he appeared nerdy and cowardly, choosing to run from reality. Until he finally got hit again in the ending scene of his three-year fugitive. Currently, convict Suriono is facing a new scene.
