Polda of the East Java Traffic Director, Kombes Pol Iwan Saktiadi.
progresifjaya.co.id, SURABAYA – The Polda of the East Traffic Directorate has prepared 115 service and security posts in various tourist areas in East Java during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday period. These posts will be dynamically positioned to follow the flow of people’s movements during the homecoming and Eid al-Fitr holidays.
Polda of the East Java Traffic Director, Kombes Pol Iwan Saktiadi, stated in a statement, that there is not expected to be a significant shift in the 115 service and security posts in East Java’s tourist areas.
“My prediction is that if there are any shifts in locations, they won’t be significant. The data we’ve collected is based on the dynamics of community activities and movement patterns, both before and after the Eid al-Fitr homecoming. I suspect East Java is quite unique,” said Kombes Pol Iwan on Monday, March 9, 2026.
He also explained, that East Java boasts a significant number of tourist attractions, with more than 115 locations. These include natural attractions like beaches, mountains, and so on, as well as man-made ones. However, regardless of their form, his team’s main priority is service and security at these tourist attractions.
Therefore, he continued, he is still considering the dynamic nature of shifting service and security posts. The main reason is to bring officers in the field closer to the community. He wants to bring officers in the field closer to the community so they can receive optimal service.
“That’s the key. It’s up to each region to decide where to place the post, of course. The purpose of establishing these posts is to bring our services closer to the community,” he emphasized. (Bembo)
