Breakthrough: Polri Introduce Digital Complaint Service Platform for Criminal Investigation Unit

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Wakapolri, Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo, officially launched the Criminal Investigation Unit’s (Bareskrim) Complaint Service application on Friday, December 12, 2025. This service platform was introduced as a flagship program and a new breakthrough from the Kabareskrim, Komjen Pol Syahardiantono, to support President Prabowo Subanto’s Asta Cita Program and the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo’s Precision Program.

“This Criminal Investigation Unit Complaint Service application integrates direct complaints. Complaints can be submitted through the application, as well as complaints via WhatsApp chat and phone. This makes it easier for the public to submit complaints and cuts down on bureaucracy,” explained Brigjen Pol Boy Rando Simanjuntak, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit’s Wassidik Bureau.

He stated, that currently, public complaints to the Wassidik Bureau via mail, e-wassidik, and the Dumas Presisi overflow process are still relatively slow and lack communication.

This is different from handling complaints through this application. The public can easily access this digital platform by simply scanning a barcode or visiting the available application link. The public can immediately file a complaint from anywhere.

Another advantage of this application is its integrated and continuous communication between the complainant and officers via WhatsApp chat and phone. Reporters are directly served by officers within 24 hours.

“This is a follow-up to the Kapolri’s directive for officers to actively inform the complainant of the progress of the report handling,” said Brigjen Pol Boy Rando.

He then explained other advantages of this digital Investigation Complaint Service platform. One advantage is the online case presentation via Zoom meeting. This certainly makes it easier for the complainant to discuss directly with investigators, without the constraints of distance and time.

Another advantage is the latest updates on the progress of the complaint made via WhatsApp app notifications. Reporters can also monitor the progress of their public complaint independently from the application.

“More than just an application, this digital platform is also supported by a representative service room staffed by highly competent officers. The complaint service officers have specialized expertise in the criminal justice field, investigative experience, and are also equipped with public speaking skills,” said Brigjen Pol Boy Rando.
