progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, participated in a joint sports activity on Car Free Day (CFD) with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), ministries/institutions, and the community at the Horse Statue, Monas, Central Jakarta, Sunday, June 28, 2026.

“Of course, today’s activities also open up space for the public to participate. We have approximately twelve stages, which the public can use to participate in various activities prepared on these stages, including various forms of sports,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit at Polda Metro Jaya.
During the CFD activities, Polri also conducted health and social service activities for the wider community. Meanwhile, for the sports week, eight types of competitions will be held.
More specifically, Kapolri Listyo Sigit also hopes, that the Kapolri Cup will produce superior athletes who can compete and achieve success in both national and international events.
“Because most of the athletes who have competed and achieved results in international championships are also involved in this event. So this is a platform to maintain their stamina and performance before we actually compete or compete in events organized by international organizations,” explained Kapolri Listyo Sigit.
Most importantly, he continued, this series of activities is an effort by the Polri to grow closer to the Indonesian people. So that it can become an institution that is expected and loved in the future. He also hopes to strengthen the synergy between the Polri and all levels of society.
“What is clear is that today’s joint sports activities on Car Free Day are part of the Polri’s efforts to continue working with the community as we approach the 80th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day, i think that’s it,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kapolri Listyo Sigit also stated, that several activities have been held throughout Indonesia to commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day.
These include health services, competitions such as e-sports and other sports, and arts activities that provide a platform for community creativity.
“We are providing space for the public to channel various arts activities, which will also be part of the competitions we will hold as part of the July 1st celebrations and related competitions. We are also holding competitions for community service and police service to the community,” he said.
Furthermore, Kapolri Listyo Sigit also provided ample space for the public to express their aspirations and criticisms of the Bhayangkara Corps. He stated, that these comments will be used as input and evaluation material for the future progress and improvement of the Polri.
“This will serve as material for our evaluation. We certainly hope that on its 80th anniversary, this institution can truly approach, or at least respond to, the public’s complaints and hopes. Yesterday, we also began our rehearsal activities. Our theme this time is “Polri for the Community.” So, all of our activities are expected to be activities for the community, where the presence of the Polri can truly be felt,” he concluded.
