Admiring Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Muhammad Riyandi Wants to Play a Role in Leading Dewa United FC to the Title

Goalkeeper, Muhammad Riyandi.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Dewa United FC’s new goalkeeper, Muhammad Riyandi, has arrived with renewed enthusiasm and a competitive mentality for the 2026/27 season. Joining a squad already featuring veteran Dutch goalkeeper Sonny Stevens, Riyandi chooses to view the competition as an opportunity for development, not a threat to his position on the team.
The former Persis Solo goalkeeper believes that the presence of an experienced player like Sonny Stevens is actually an advantage for him. He wants to take advantage of this opportunity to gain experience, improve his technical skills, and absorb knowledge that will help him become more mature in goal. A healthy competitive atmosphere, in his opinion, will encourage every player to bring out their best.
“I didn’t come here just to compete for a position. I also want to gain experience, continue learning, and absorb knowledge from my teammates, including Sonny. For me, healthy competition motivates me to continuously improve myself every day,” said the admirer of German goalkeeper Marc-AndrĂ© ter Stegen.
More than just chasing a starting spot, Riyandi also emphasized that his main focus is helping Dewa United FC achieve its big goals this season. The 26-year-old goalkeeper hopes to make a maximum contribution every time he is called upon to play. He wants to play a role in helping the Banten Warriors compete at the top and win the 2026/27 league title.
