Gerindra Party Daily Chair, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Gerindra Party is again strengthening its organizational structure in South Sulawesi. The Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party Central Executive Board, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, is scheduled to inaugurate four regional heads as cadres and Chairs of the Gerindra Party Branch Leadership Councils (DPCs) in their respective regions.
The inauguration process will be a key agenda item at the Gerindra Party’s South Sulawesi Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) to be held in Makassar.
This step is also seen as part of the party’s consolidation strategy to strengthen its structure down to the regency and city levels.
The four regional heads who will receive their mandates come from Enrekang Regency, North Luwu Regency, Palopo City, and Sinjai Regency.
They are regional heads elected in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections and are now entrusted with leading the Gerindra Party organization in their respective regions.
The Head of the North Luwu Gerindra Party Branch Executive Board, Marjono, confirmed the inauguration agenda. According to him, the entire process will be led directly by the Gerindra Party Central Leadership Council.
“Yes, that’s right, there are four regional heads who will be inaugurated by the Central Executive Board to serve as Branch Chairmen,” Marjono said on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
With this inauguration, the leadership of the Gerindra Party Branch Executive Boards in these four regions will undergo changes.
The inaugurated regional heads are the Mayor of Palopo, the Regent of North Luwu, the Regent of Sinjai, and the Regent of Enrekang. They will replace the previous Branch Chairmen as part of an organizational restructuring.
In North Luwu Regency, the position of Branch Chairperson will be transferred from Marjono to the elected regional head.
Meanwhile, in Palopo City, the leadership previously led by Hasriani will also be transferred to the newly inaugurated regional head.
A similar change occurred in Enrekang Regency. The previous DPC chairman, Mustain Sumaele, will hand over the leadership baton to a regional head mandated by the Gerindra Party’s Central Executive Board.
In Sinjai Regency, the position of DPC chairman, previously held by Fachriadi Matoa, will also be handed over to the regional head elected in the 2024 regional elections.
The inauguration of these four regional heads is seen as part of the Gerindra Party’s strategic move to strengthen synergy between the party structure and the regional heads currently leading the government in their respective regions.
In addition to serving as an opportunity for organizational consolidation, the Gerindra South Sulawesi Regional Coordination Meeting will also be attended by Gerindra Party DPP Secretary General Sugiono, the Regional Executive Board (DPD) management, members of the Gerindra faction from the provincial and district/city DPRDs throughout South Sulawesi, as well as the chairmen, secretaries, and treasurers of the DPCs.
Through this structural strengthening, the Gerindra Party of South Sulawesi hopes to solidify the organization and strengthen the party’s political work in overseeing government programs and addressing the upcoming national political agenda.
