progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The decisive action taken by Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Suyudi Ario Seto—who has dared to name his predecessor, former Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as a suspect in a case involving the alleged illegal wiretapping of President Prabowo Subianto—has drawn high praise from politician Akbar Faizal.

He stated, that the handling of this case, which the Presidential Palace has deemed an act of treason, demonstrates that the law should not differentiate between individuals based on seniority or their past ties to former leadership.

“And to the Kapolri, @SuyudiArioSeto, thank you for showing that the law recognizes neither seniority nor former leadership,” wrote Akbar Faizal in a post on his personal X account, as cited by progresifjaya.co.id on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Beyond expressing his appreciation, Akbar urged Kapolri Suyudi to immediately carry out reforms within the Polri. He also pressed the Kapolri to identify those suspected of being part of the network linked to the former leader of the institution.

“Please clean up the Polri as soon as possible. The organization is mature and resilient enough to identify everyone involved in this malicious network tied to your predecessor. It is perfectly fine to start from scratch—much like a Pertamina gas station. Today, i am beginning to believe once again that the Polri can protect us,” he asserted.

Akbar’s statement follows the naming of three suspects in the case concerning the alleged illegal wiretapping of President Prabowo Subianto. The three individuals—identified by the initials LSP, ASN, and EH—were announced by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim) of the Polri, Komjen Pol Asep Safrudin.

“Investigators have named three suspects with the initials LSP, ASN, and EH,” stated Komjen Pol Asep during a press conference at the Polri Headquarters on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo is one of the three individuals named as a suspect. The other two are Irjen Pol Ahrie Sonta and Irjen Pol Eko Hadi.

In this case, the three are alleged to have wiretapped President Prabowo’s phone number without following proper procedures. The announcement of their status as suspects has drawn attention from several prominent figures, including Akbar Faizal.

Meanwhile, Akbar has also leveled harsh criticism at Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit. He argues, that the alleged wiretapping of the head of state is not the only issue that warrants investigation during the former Kapolri’s tenure.

Akbar has even urged President Prabowo not to grant any pardon to Jenderal Pol Listyo. He further described the alleged actions as a form of treason against the state and an affront to humanity. (Bembo)
