Wakapolda Metro Jaya Visits Kota Bambu Selatan to Hear Residents’ Aspirations

Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Adex Yudiswan, visited the Kota Bambu Selatan sub-district in Palmerah, West Jakarta, to listen firsthand to the aspirations of the local residents.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya, in collaboration with the local government, the TNI, and local administrative officials, visited residents’ homes in the Kota Bambu Selatan sub-district, Palmerah, West Jakarta, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. This initiative was carried out to listen to residents’ aspirations, assess the condition of their neighborhood, and identify the needs and challenges they face, serving as a foundation for determining appropriate follow-up actions.

Centered at the PB Djarum field on Jalan KS Tubun, the operation reached approximately 400 households. The data-collection effort involved personnel from the Polda Metro Jaya, the Polres Metro of West Jakarta, sub-district and urban village authorities, Babinsa (military non-commissioned officers), the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), the Community Early Detection Forum (FKDM), as well as local neighborhood (RT) and community (RW) leaders. Officials engaged directly with residents to hold dialogues and gather information regarding the conditions of their living environment.

Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Adex Yudiswan—who participated in the field visit—stated, that this effort aims to provide services rooted in the actual realities experienced by the community, rather than relying solely on hearsay or unverified reports.

“We are here not based on ‘what people say,’ but based on the real conditions experienced by the people living here—what they feel, what they need, and what they hope for,” said Wakapolda Adex.

Through direct dialogue with residents, officials were able to map out various neighborhood needs—ranging from sanitation, street lighting, and road access to waste management, as well as issues concerning security and public order. The information gathered will be evaluated and coordinated with the local government and relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken, in accordance with their respective mandates and authorities.

In addition to data collection, the initiative also provided health services for the community. A medical team was on hand to conduct health check-ups, including visiting the homes of residents who required medical attention but were unable to travel to the designated service post.

Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated, that this initiative is part of the Polri’s commitment to fostering closer ties with the community through a humanistic approach—listening directly to residents’ concerns and building collaborations to find solutions.

“Guided by the spirit of “Polisi Bersama Masyarakat” and “Kerja Melayani Jakarta”, we want to ensure that the police’s presence goes beyond merely maintaining security; it is also about listening, understanding, and helping to bridge the needs of the public with the relevant authorities,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

“The input provided by residents is invaluable, ensuring that our service and response efforts are truly well-targeted and deliver tangible benefits,” he added. (Bembo)
