progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, inaugurated 993 students of the Polri Non-Commissioned Officer
(NCO) Formation Program, Wave I, for the 2026 Fiscal Year. The inauguration took place during the Closing, Inauguration, and Oath-Taking Ceremony at SPN Lido, Polda Metro Jaya, on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
The 993 students officially received the rank of Second Brigadier (Bripda) after completing the formation program. This inauguration marks the beginning of their duties as members of the Polri, providing protection, care, and service to the community.
During the ceremony, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ acted as the ceremony inspector and read the message from the Head of the Polri Education and Training Center. He also congratulated the young NCOs on their successful completion of their education.
“This inauguration is not merely a ceremony, but also the beginning of a long journey for young Bhayangkara to serve in the Polri,” he said.
Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ also advised the young NCO to carry out their duties with sincerity, honesty, and full responsibility. He reminded that every Polri member must maintain a positive attitude so as not to harm the public or the institution’s reputation.
He also emphasized the importance of faith and piety, as well as adherence to the Tribrata (Three Principles), Catur Prasetya (Four Principles), and the Polri professional code of ethics. The young non-commissioned officers were asked to maintain integrity, avoid violations, and build good communication with the community.
According to him, young non-commissioned officers are the backbone of Polri’s duties because they will have direct contact with the community. Therefore, they must be able to work with discipline, loyalty, integrity, uphold human rights, and strengthen synergy with the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces), local governments, and all elements of society.
“Remember that Tribrata teaches us to be good police officers. A professional police officer is not necessarily a good police officer. But a good police officer will certainly be professional,” he said.
In addition to emphasizing humanistic service, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ also emphasized the importance of being prepared to face the dynamics of field duties. The young NCO are expected to develop their police skills, including basic Brimob skills, so they are ready to face various public order and security challenges in a measured and professional manner.
For the young NCO, this inauguration also serves as a stepping stone to their service as members of the Polri. They are expected to emerge as police officers who are close to the community, responsive to citizen concerns, and capable of maintaining security and order in a humane manner. Kudos on the new role!
