progresifjaya.co.id, BANDUNG – The Traffic Unit of the Polrestabes Bandung City (Satlantas Polrestabes Bandung) is investigating a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Cibuntu Urban Village, Bandung Kulon District, Bandung City, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at approximately 21:25 WIB.

As a result of the incident, the pedestrian—identified by the initials AS (50)—sustained injuries and was immediately rushed to Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung for intensive medical treatment.

The Head of the Traffic Accident Investigation Unit (Kanit Gakkum) of the Satlantas Polrestabes Bandung, AKP Fiekry Adi Perdana, explained the sequence of events a motorcycle with license plate number D 5573 AAR, ridden by a man identified as DS (51)—a resident of Cimahi City—was traveling from east to west along Jalan Soekarno Hatta.

“Upon reaching the scene, the motorcyclist struck a pedestrian who was crossing from the north side of the road to the south,” said AKP Fiekry on Thursday, February 3, 2026.

Upon receiving news of the incident, personnel from the Traffic Accident Investigation Unit immediately deployed to the location to assist the victim, secure the vehicle involved as evidence, and conduct a thorough investigation of the scene.

In addition to examining the scene, the police questioned eyewitnesses in the vicinity to accurately reconstruct the sequence of events. “The cause of the accident is still under investigation,” AKP Fiekry added.

AKP Fiekry also urged all road users—both motorists and pedestrians—to remain vigilant and to strictly observe traffic regulations and safety markings when traveling along Bandung City’s main thoroughfares. “Stay safe and obey the road signs,” AKP Fiekry emphasized.  (Bembo)
