progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA — The selection process for the 2026 Police Academy (Akpol) cadet intake at Polda Metro Jaya began on Thursday, May 7, 2026. A total of 519 participants, consisting of 492 men and 27 women, took the Academic Computer Assisted Test (CAT).
The test began at 6:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time and continued through completion using a computer-based system.
The Academic CAT was conducted at two locations, Gunadarma University Campus K, Karawaci, Tangerang City, and Jakarta State University. Seven laboratories were used at Gunadarma University Karawaci, while 14 laboratories were used at Jakarta State University.
The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto explained in a statement, that the Academic CAT was part of the Akpol selection process for the academic year. 2026, which will be carried out in stages, objectively, and measurably.
“The implementation of the Academic CAT (Competency Test) is a crucial stage in the selection process for male and female cadets at the Akpol for the 2026 academic year. He explained, that the use of the CAT system aims to maintain the objectivity of the selection results. By using a computerized system, the assessment process can be conducted transparently and minimize the potential for fraud.
“Participants’ success is determined by their individual ability to complete all stages of the selection process. There is no room for brokers, cheaters, or parties promising success,” he emphasized.
Kombes Pol Bhudi also urged participants and their parents not to easily trust anyone, especially those who claim to be able to help them pass in exchange for certain compensation.
“We invite the public to participate in monitoring this recruitment process. Trust in the participants’ abilities and the ongoing selection system, so that the 2026 Akpol recruitment can produce the best male and female cadets, with integrity, and ready to serve the nation,” he emphasized.
