progresifjaya.co.id, PONTIANAK – The Indonesian men’s volleyball team, Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, made history by winning the 2026 AVC Men’s Club Championship on Sunday evening, May 17, 2026.
In the final against Iranian team Foolad Sirjan Iranian, at the Achmad Yani Integrated Sports Hall, Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi put on a solid performance and won the match 3-1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-23, and 25-23).
This success marks a historic achievement for Indonesian volleyball. Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi officially became the first Indonesian men’s volleyball team to qualify for and represent the Asian zone at the FIVB Club World Championship.
Foolad Sirjan Iranian, who were defeated by Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi in the final, also qualified as the official representative for Asia after becoming the top finalist in this year’s tournament.
The final match began with Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi taking control. Two consecutive service aces from Keita gave the hosts a commanding lead. Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi’s star hitter put on an impressive display with powerful spikes that Foolad Sirjan Iranian’s defense struggled to anticipate.
Keita’s dominant performance gave Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi a 16-11 lead. Coupled with several service errors from Foolad Sirjan Iranian, the hosts’ lead widened to 22-17.
Farhan’s service ace brought Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi to set point 24-17 before Keita’s powerful spike secured the first set victory with a score of 25-20.
Foolad Sirjan Iranian rallied in the second set and began to put pressure on Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi’s defense. The Iranians briefly led 5-3, making the match a tight affair.

However, Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi responded with a Mozic service ace to level the score at 8-8. The fierce duel continued, with both teams chasing points until the end of the set.
However, Foolad Sirjan Iranian managed to steal a narrow 26-24 victory to level the score at 1-1.
Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi capitalized on their opponents’ mistakes while leading 24-23. Keita again proved decisive with a powerful spike, closing out the third set with a 25-23 victory, giving Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi a 2-1 lead.
In the fourth set, Foolad Sirjan Iranian dominated the early stages of the set. However, Keita once again proved decisive.
Three consecutive service aces turned the game around to 7-5 in Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi’s favor. Keita’s brilliant performance, combined with Simon’s monster block, allowed Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi to widen the lead to 11-8.
The match was tense until the final points, before Noumory Keita’s service ace secured a 25-23 victory and secured the 2026 AVC Champions League title for Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi.
Kapolda of West Kalimantan and Head of the Polri Volleyball Association (PBV) and Manager of Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of all the players, coaches, and officials who have brought Indonesia’s name to the forefront of Asia and the world.
“This achievement is not only Bhayangkara Presisi’s, but a source of pride for all Indonesians. We want to show Asia that Indonesia is capable of competing, and even becoming the best. This victory is the result of the hard work of the entire team, coaches, officials, and the support of the Polri, the local government, and the Indonesian people,” explained Irjen Pol Pipit.
He hoped, that this success would motivate the development of national volleyball and encourage the emergence of high-achieving young athletes.
