progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA — The Polda Metro Jaya and the Polres Metro of West Jakarta reaped a bumper harvest of red tilapia at the Palmerah SPPG Greenhouse, West Jakarta, on Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2026. The harvest was led by Kombes Pol Ardanto Nugroho, Level III Police Auditor of the Polda Metro Jaya Regional Supervision Inspectorate (Itwasda), as a form of support for food security programs and strengthening the supply chain ecosystem for sustainable protein sources.
In his statement, Kombes Pol Ardanto Nugroho stated, that the cultivation of red tilapia at the Palmerah Greenhouse is part of the commitment of the Polda Metro Jaya and the Polres Metro of West Jakarta to provide a safe and sustainable source of quality protein.
“These tilapia have been cultivated for approximately 120 days since the seeds were sown, with continuous and standardized care. Once they’re ready, we’ll harvest them,” he explained on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
He also stated, that the development of the Palmerah Greenhouse will continue consistently. This is not only to meet the internal needs of the Palmerah SPPG, but also to support the food supply for other Polri SPPGs under the auspices of the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation.
This step, he continued, also demonstrates the Polri’s commitment to supporting the national food self-sufficiency program, particularly in providing healthy and high-quality protein sources for the community.
Through this sustainable cultivation program, the Palmerah Greenhouse is expected to continue to develop into an independent food center capable of providing broad benefits for the surrounding community.
This red tilapia harvest is the third partial harvest, following the previous harvest several weeks ago.
This harvest yielded 219 kilograms of red tilapia, which will be used to support the raw material needs of the Palmerah SPPG at the Polda Metro Jaya.
