progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – An individual identified by the initials RS has been named a suspect in an alleged criminal case involving the mineral and coal (Minerba) sector by the Water and Air Police Directorate (Ditpolairud) of the Polda Metro Jaya. RS is strongly suspected of playing a role in the sale and transportation of mining materials sourced from entities lacking valid permits.

AKBP Ardhie Demasetyo, Head of the Law Enforcement Sub-directorate at Ditpolairud Polda Metro Jaya stated, that RS was named a suspect due to alleged activities involving the sale, transportation, processing, and/or refining of mining commodities not sourced from valid permit holders.

Based on evidence obtained by investigators, RS has now been detained for further investigation.

“Based on the evidence obtained, investigators have named RS a suspect and placed him in detention for the purposes of the investigation process,” said AKBP Ardhie.

RS is being detained for 20 days, from August 8 to August 27, 2026, at the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center (Rutan Dittahti).

He is charged under Article 161 in conjunction with Article 35 paragraph (3) letters c and g, Article 104, or Article 105 of Law Number 2 of 2025 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining, and/or Article 20 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP), regarding the transportation, sale, processing, and/or refining of minerals or coal not sourced from valid permit holders, as well as provisions regarding criminal liability.
