The operation met with fierce resistance from drug dealers and local residents.

Nevertheless, Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Dadang Hartanto stated, that he has already obtained the identities of the drug dealers who managed to escape during today’s raid. He assured that the police would pursue those who fled.

“The targets did manage to escape, but we already have their information,” said Kapolda Dadang following the raid in Kampung Bahari.

He further asserted, that the fleeing dealers would have nowhere to hide from the police pursuit. Kapolda Dadang also emphasized the need for urban restructuring and public awareness initiatives within Kampung Bahari.

“They won’t be able to run anywhere; we will certainly track them down. The most important thing is that they do not use the local residents as human shields—that is the priority. They have now fled the environment that had been protecting them all this time,” said Kapolda Dadang.

On the same occasion, the Director of Narcotics Investigation for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso stated, that authorities successfully secured several pieces of evidence during the raid, while the search for the drug dealers continues.

“We recovered sharp weapons, bongs, and other equipment used for drug abuse. We will continue to hunt down these dealers,” said Kombes Pol Bismo.

In addition to narcotics, investigators seized cash and equipment used for manufacturing ecstasy. Several firearms were also confiscated.

“There was cash. It was kept together with the marijuana evidence—the proceeds from the sales were stored right there, alongside the marijuana and the cash,” explained Kombes Pol Bismo. (Bembo)
