progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The year 2025 marked a positive year for the Polda Banten in handling and resolving criminal cases within its jurisdiction.

The Polda Banten Narcotics Investigation Directorate handled 805 narcotics cases throughout 2025. This number represents an 11 percent increase compared to 2024, with a total of 1.085 suspects.

The seized evidence included 14.021.67 grams of methamphetamine, 17.165.12 grams of marijuana, and thousands of ecstasy pills and other hard drugs.

Of this evidence, 1.249 grams of methamphetamine and 12.197 grams of marijuana were destroyed as a form of transparency in drug eradication efforts.

Moving on to the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum), 2.294 criminal cases were recorded throughout 2025. This number decreased by 2 percent compared to 2024. Of these cases, 912 were resolved, a 21 percent increase compared to 2024.

Meanwhile, at the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus), 103 criminal cases occurred throughout 2025, a 58,4 percent increase compared to 2024. Meanwhile, 67 cases were completed in 2025, a 28,8 percent increase compared to 2024.

Kapolda Banten, Irjen Pol Hengki, stated in his year-end press release that, in general, the security and public order (kamtibmas) situation in Banten remains under control. There has only been a slight increase in certain crimes.

“We have observed an increase in transnational crime. However, crimes that disturb the public have actually decreased. This is proof that preventive measures, precision patrols, and the strengthening of the role of Bhabinkamtibmas (Community Police Officers) have been quite effective so far,” said Kapolda Hengki to the media on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Overall, Kapolda Hengki also presented the crime situation in Banten throughout 2025.

He said that this year, there were 6.995 cases of public order disturbances recorded, a 2 percent increase compared to 2024. Conventional crime decreased by 1 percent, transnational crime increased by 23 percent, and crimes that disturb the public decreased by 2 percent.

Meanwhile, based on time and location analysis, the most crimes occurred between 9:00 AM and 11:59 AM WIB and generally occurred in residential areas.

“We are disclosing all this data as a form of transparency. However, there is still no room for criminals within the jurisdiction of the Polda Banten. We will continue to improve the quality of investigations, while also expediting the timeframe for case resolution to ensure a sense of justice for the public,” promised the two-star general from the Patriatama Battalion, Akpol 1995.
