Reported to the Polda Metro Jaya by a Student for On-Campus Sexual Violence, the Reported Lecturer Subsequently Files a Counter-Report

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The police report (LP) filed against the Polda Metro Jaya for alleged on-campus sexual violence (TPKS) has been met with resistance. A lecturer at a private university in South Jakarta, identified as Y (48), who was reported to the Polda Metro Jaya by his student, identified as A (24), for alleged sexual harassment, has now filed a counter-report alleging defamation.
Regarding this, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, confirmed the report. “Yes, that’s right, the lecturer filed a counter-report for defamation,” he said on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
Kombes Pol Bhudi explained, that the alleged sexual harassment case perpetrated by lecturer Y, which was subsequently reported by student A to the Polda Metro Jaya, occurred in May 2022. In the LP, A reported that lecturer Y had asked her out on a date and groped the victim.
“This is a form of sexual violence, according to the police report we received. A lecturer invited her to date, to have a relationship, to make obscene remarks and make inappropriate remarks, and to touch certain parts of a female student’s body,” explained Kombes Pol Bhudi.
Student A’s report against lecturer Y has been registered under number LP/B/2611/IV/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated April 14, 2026. A reported Y, alleging violations of Article 414 of Law Number 1/2023 and/or Articles 6b and 6c of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence (TPKS).
Regarding this situation, where lecturer Y has filed a counter-report against A for alleged defamation, continued Kombes Pol Bhudi, The Directorate of Women and Children Protection and Eradication of Human Trafficking (Ditres PPA-PPO) of the Polda Metro Jaya, which is handling this case, has followed up on both reports. A series of in-depth investigations are still underway.
