progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Precision Pioneer Patrol (3P) Team of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Directorate of Samapta (Ditsamapta) apprehended two youths suspected of attempting a robbery on Jalan Duri Kepa, West Jakarta. A machete was also confiscated.

The arrest of the two muggers occurred early Tuesday morning, May 12, 2026, at approximately 2:47 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The 3P Team, along with City Patrol, K9 Unit, and Ditsamapta Policewomen, were conducting a patrol.

During the patrol, officers became suspicious of several youths riding a motorcycle. They immediately stopped and questioned the youths.

 “From the investigation, police found a machete, a sharp weapon suspected of being used to commit street crime,” said the Director of Samapta for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wahyu Dwi Ariwibowo, in a statement on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

“Police also arrested two young men with the initials D and GTP. In addition to the machete, officers also confiscated a motorcycle and a cellphone,” he added.

The two young men, along with the machete as evidence, were taken to the Kebon Jeruk Polsek Station for further questioning. Further investigation will be handed over to investigators to investigate the alleged crime.

Kombes Pol Wahyu Dwi Ariwibowo further stated, that night and early morning patrols will continue to be increased to prevent street crime. The Jakarta Metropolitan Police are also committed to providing a sense of security for the community.

“We encourage the community to work together to maintain public order and security. If you encounter any potential security disturbances, report them immediately to the nearest police station or call 110,” Kombes Pol Wahyu Dwi Ariwibowo emphasized.
